Had a wonderful day in the Everglades @ Shark Valley. Have wanted to go there for years and finally made it there. We had perfect weather. Got there early and took a 2 hr. tram ride stopping at the observation deck in the middle of the tour. We saw lots of wildlife.

After the tram ride we did some hiking down some paths and had to pass a big ol' gator. Tried to come back the same way but it looked like he moved closer to the path and we didn't want to tempt fate twice.

I was sad to leave the place. I will plan to go again soon.

Found these yesterday on our photo outing growing wild in the woods at Koreshan State Park in Estero, Florida. Just loved their color brought out more by the sun shining on them. Can't find what the of this plant name is.

Could have been a blue night because of the lousy sunset but all turned out well anyway. Always have to look for the silver lining :)

Cloudy days

Tonight was our camera club outing which I am the director. I tried to order up a perfect sunset but it didn't work; especially since it's rainy season with a tropical depression over us. So when you can't get color you turn your photos to black and white. It was still a picturesque night.

I enjoy being at the beach very much whether early in the morning near sunrise or late in the evening at sunset.  Some times I have to make myself leave the house because I'm at work all week and I enjoy the solitude inside my house.  But once down at the beach, which is as close as 1 mile, a peace comes over me and it's hard to leave when the sun goes down.  I am a photographer and can 't get enough sunsets and am always trying for that perfect sunset shot.  I do not like plain sunset shots but ones through reeds or at the pier.  One day I will get arrested for stepping on the sea oats that they have posted "stay off".  The shots I get are worth it! Tonight I will try again!
